What are snap-on dentures?
Snap-on dentures (also called implant-retained overdentures) are removable dentures that attach securely to dental implants placed in your jaw. Instead of relying on suction or adhesive, the denture “snaps” onto small attachments on the implants, so it stays firmly in place while you eat and speak.

Most patients need as few as 2 implants per arch for a stable lower or upper snap on denture, though some cases benefit from 4 implants for added support. Your treatment plan will be personalized during your consultation.

How long do snap-on dentures last?
The implants themselves can last many years with proper care. The denture and its attachments typically need periodic maintenance — such as replacing the retention inserts every 1–2 years — and a reline or replacement every several years.
Many patients who currently wear loose or shifting dentures, or who are missing most of their teeth, are good candidates. Dr. Damon can evaluate your bone structure and recommend the right number of implants during your consultation.
